Affordable Housing Alliance Our non-profit mission is to provide safe affordable housing to those in need in Midland County.

Our vision: All Midland County residents have safe, affordable housing as they improve their quality of life and continue to work on reaching their fullest potential. AHA was charted in July of 1995 through the efforts of the Community Problem Solving Committee of the United Way's Midland County Board and became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in 1997 to serve the need of producing affordable housing opportunities. The purpose of AHA:
• To provide and administer housing and housing-related programs to benefit citizens of Midland County with low incomes
• To evaluate the present and future housing needs of low-income citizens of Midland County
• To advocate for the housing needs of low-income citizens of Midland County
• To manage programs and projects relating to the housing needs of low-income citizens on a countywide basis
• To seek public and private sources of funding to support these efforts

Home Starts Here is AHA’s campaign to expand affordable housing opportunities in Midland County.

The campaign is built around three priorities: 🔨 preserving the affordable homes AHA already owns, 📐 building new affordable housing, and 💙 helping local households remain stably housed.

Right now, every donation will be matched dollar for dollar—doubling your impact on housing in our community. Together, we can help ensure that more Midland County residents have a safe, affordable place to call home. 🏠
