CREATIVITY TIME! I want you to bring an open mind and heart to our next Sister ⭕️ Chat- June 22nd! I’m a firm believer that everyone has a spark of creativity! Our creativity may look different but it’s there. 😊

Today officially wraps up our 2025-2026 Heart of Leadership Experience! Schools out for the summer!🎶 We want to thank all the teachers, staff, students, and partners who made the HOL a success this school year!! 🙌🏾

I grew this year. The connections deepened. And trust me although I come in to share and “teach” I always leave learning more! So thank you! 🙏🏾

Breaking bread. Hugs and love. New connections. Special moments. Growth and learning. Happy times! 😁

MEETING, GATHERINGS, INTENTIONAL CONNECTIONS photo dump- over the last couple weeks. Could’ve shared more but IG doesn’t want us to be great! 😂

With that said- I’ve found that MANY people think our work is just us “talking.” They think we just get up and “do it.” They really don’t realize the intention, preparation, connection, and work that comes before we set a table or present!

Anyone who really knows me knows how careful I try to be with people. How competitive I am within myself. They know my standards and understand my “excellence” mentality.

Quite naturally- that ethic overflows into the work of TBBV! I plan. Plan. Plan with deep intention. I value time and the people sharing it.

So even though some meetings are quite enjoyable. Coffee may be a main character. And a sweet treat may also try to tag along. Whatever and whoever is in the gathering- work is being done to better the communities, people, orgs, and spaces we interact with! ❤️💜

I remember when my children were younger and their opponents would try to get their heads out of the game. The other team would hurl insults or say things that weren’t true. They would say some things that could have easily angered my Suns and every once in a while it did.

I would tell them, “Don’t worry about it. Just go out there and win the game!”

The words don’t matter. Action does. Winning the game is how you reply. Most times when the other team did that it was because they were losing and didn’t see a way out of that type of defeat. So that was all they felt they had- insults and more insults. We know that is just a part of the game.

I apply that same thought to my everyday life.

Words don’t matter, action does. Continue to act- in love, purpose, knowledge, insight, and truth. People will say things and that’s okay. Your only job is to get out there and “win the game!” ❤️💜

I want to THANK these two! I had a mandatory meeting to be at and wanted to also be at another. Both meetings had purpose but I couldn’t be in two places at one time. (Trust me I wish I could at times😂) Although I could not be there I wanted The Breaking Bread Village represented and visible. Plus- I felt it was respectful of the space and the people in there.

But anyway- I asked if they’d go for me!

And these two eagerly agreed to represent us in my absence!! Means a lot to me. Gratitude. And they even took one of our selfies in my honor!!😂😂(Their words not mine!🥳🤞🏾)

Appreciate them! ❤️💜
