Janet Kincaid was honored with the APS Honors Award at the West Texas Conference on Aging on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. This award, selected by the local APS staff, recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and service.

Janet was chosen for her outstanding support during a particularly challenging period marked by high staff turnover and increased caseloads across the region. She consistently went above and beyond to communicate effectively, offer guidance, and provide valuable resources to assist overextended APS staff. Her leadership, responsiveness, and commitment made a meaningful difference for APS staff during a time when it was needed most.

Great day at the 2026 West Texas Conference on Aging hosted by Area Agency on Aging of the Permian Basin and Midland College Health Sciences CE Department ❗️

Marci Leffler, APS Community Liason and Janet Kincaid, APS Advisory Board member enjoyed sharing all things Adult Protective Services and how the Board’s fundraising enhances services available to APS clients‼️

The conference provides an opportunity for attendees, most in Social Service work and Home Care Agencies, to receive CE hours. We are thankful and blessed by these caring individuals that provide the needed care in our communities throughout the Permian Basin on a daily basis‼️❤️
