Goose
Ecc. 4:9,10 Two are better than one … For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow …
I Thess. 5:11 … comfort yourselves together and edify one another …
Jn. 3:8 (like the wind) … so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Gen. 1:20 And God said, … and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
:21 And God created … every winged fowl after his kind and God saw that it was good.
***** Geese fly in a V formation. That helps them fly over 70% further. A lead goose flies in the very
narrow v of their formation. When it is tired, it drops back and another instantly takes its place. Those
which are flying in the very back keep their honking going cheering all in front of them and especially the
lead goose. They are picture perfect going across the blue sky.
Like the geese which support each other, we who are Christians must share burdens and work together.
We are taught by Jesus and the Apostles to do so. We hear often we must join each other in prayer so
the Lord will hear us and know we are humbling ourselves before Him wanting Him to move in our
behalf. We are to comfort one another with encouraging words and thoughts that none will grow
feeble but rather they will grow in His Grace and become strong. We can build up or edify one another
with compliments not flattery so as to help each other’s feelings.
If we see one member of the body of Christ that appears to us to be “going under” or going down in
some respect, then lend a helping hand as the Lord leads us to do. They are our brothers and sisters and
are under the same shed blood as we are. Keeping the V formation in mind, let us bind together and
follow God’s chosen leadership keeping our focus on Jesus and staying ready for “Heaven bound!”

WARNED of GOD
Mt. 2:13 … Arise, and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt …
:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they (wisemen) should not return to Herod, they departed
:22 Joseph … being warned of God in a dream, he … came to Nazareth …
Acts 10:22 … Cornelius … was warned from God by a Holy Angel to send for Peter …
Heb. 11:7 By faith Noah being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear prepared an ark
***** Warnings were given throughout the Bible. Many times the Lord moved on His prophets and
then they told the people. The NT begins with three warnings from God given in dreams. Like one man
of God said to people who don’t believe the Lord speaks through dreams, Jesus, would have died as a
newly born baby. But God spoke to Joseph in dreams so He would preserve the Lamb to be sacrificed in
His time.
Even the wisemen had to be warned in a dream. They didn’t realize the wicked Herod was simply
waiting for their return to send soldiers straight to where little Jesus was to kill him.
Think about the Roman Cornelius. He had the fear of the Lord and when the Angel was sent to his
house, he immediately sent for Peter to come. The result was that he and his entire Gentile household
were baptized with the Holy Ghost just like the Jews on the Day of Pentecost.
Noah certainly would never have known a flood was coming if the Lord had not talked with him. Out of
the world’s population at that time, he alone found grace in the Eyes of the Lord.
God still warns through dreams and visions and by other means today. When He does, we must listen
and obey or suffer great consequences. Stay alert and prayerful. Amen.

LOVE
Jn. 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you …
Jesus is giving a new standard for His disciples from the teachings of the OT which said to love your
neighbor as yourself. Note: He is commanding his disciples during the Last supper after the betrayer
left the room to love each other AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. Now this was only hours away from the cross!
The love Jesus is referring these 11 men to bring in the True Love of God Himself: to love each other
sacrificially and unconditionally. No longer were they to wonder who among them was the greatest.
Jesus wanted them to set the example by such love for each other that those who followed in behind
the 11 would know they were HIS disciples!
This kind of love would be NEW to the people of that day who had had only the scribes and Pharisees to
lead them in temple and or synagogue worship. From all Jesus had to say about them, they never
showed themselves as living examples of the Love of God. Rather they were pious and lacking in ability
to reach the people we’ll say on a realistic heart felt level!
I Jn. 2:15 … If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. As Jesus here during His final
hours was teaching these 11 men who’d followed Him day and night for 3 ½ years, to be examples
themselves for those who’d follow them, that they must love each other as He had loved each of them
unconditionally and from their hearts. They must love with self-denial. They must be selfless in their
love toward one another. They must be “clothed with humility.” /Jesus wanted them to see as He must
leave them that the most important thing in life is LOVE. They must realize and so should we that our
love for Him and others so we will leave a legacy of fruit that lives on is the most important goal!

Compass
Ps. 32:7 Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Ps. 32:10 … he that trusts in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.
Ps. 142:7 … the righteous shall compass me about …
139:3 You compass my path … and are acquainted with all my ways.
Heb. 12:1 … seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses …
**** To compass is defined as to surround. David said in Psalms the Lord would compass him about
with songs of deliverance. Many times we see in Scriptures where the Lord compassed His chosen with
favor. Joseph in the OT is a perfect example. We also see mercy playing a tremendous part in the Lord’s
looking after His people compassing them about. Many times He sent His Angels to compass His own
from impending dangers. When you are serious about serving the Lord, you are surely going to be
compassed about with righteous friends. They are the ones you can reach out to for help at any
moment. / David could see his steps were ordered by the Lord. He knew the Lord compassed all his
steps. Heb. 12:1 gives us hope and enlightenment to run our race as so many witnesses have gone on
before us. They stood the test and were faithful. We can be, too. When Israel had left Egypt and was in
the wilderness, they were told they had compassed “this mountain long enough.” There may be
obstacles of different kinds in your way. Will you keep going around them again and again or will you
decide with His help there is a way through or under or over them and move forward to greater heights
in the Lord? There will be a way because He will make one where there seems to be none. God is on
High looking down on us and can see it all – the big picture. Call on Him. He will see you through.

Peace
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you …
Rom. 8:6 … to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing …
Phil. 4:7 And the peace of God … shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Ps. 119:165 Great peace have they which love Thy Law …
**** Peace keeps the mind from evil thoughts. It keeps the heart from wrong feelings. The very
definition of peace is we are trusting God with all our hearts. This leaves no space for doubt which
brings turmoil, fear, anxiety, frustration … A good start is I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him for
He careth for you. David says in Ps. 62:8, Trust in Him at all times ye people. Pour out your heart before
Him. God is a refuge for us. Remember the Lord is our Shepherd. We shall not want or lack. Ps. 23:1
Isaiah goes on to say that the Lord will keep us in perfect peace if we keep our minds on Him. We can
find joy when we are at peace.
Though the storms assail us, we can find peace in Him. He, being the Prince of Peace, is always filled
with peace and when we are in His precious Presence, we can surely feel that perfect peace that
radiates from Him to us.
David also said that if we love His Word, we will have great peace. So if we are lacking in peace, just get
alone with Him and His Word. That will lead, guide and direct us right into His peace.
Jesus before He left His disciples made them to know that though they had troubles in this life, that in
Him they could find peace. Paul said, He is our peace. Amen.

MYSTERY
Rom. 16:25 … the revelation of the mystery … kept secret since the world began.
I Cor. 15:51 I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed.
Eph. 5:32 This is a great mystery … concerning Christ and the Church.
Col. 1:26 the mystery … hid … from generations … is made manifest to His saints.
I Tim. 3:16 … great is the mystery of Godliness …
***** In New Testament terms a mystery is “a Divine Truth” that has been hidden all this time but is
now being revealed by His Grace to the believers. It is not something to be solved but something to be
uncovered by studying His Word and having the Spirit reveal it to you. In Rom. 16:25 we’re looking at a
mystery that has been secret since the Creation! Paul speaks of the Power to establish you by the
preaching of Jesus Christ. Hearing comes by the Word. Understanding comes by studying the Word and
allowing God to show us what would be unknown except He revealed it to us. That unknown is mystery.
Speaking of the first resurrection/rapture, Paul tells the church at Corinth, we don’t all die but we must
be changed in the twinkling of an eye from a fleshly body to an immortal one. Eph. 5:32 Jesus loved the
church, His Body of believers, and gave Himself for it. We are to love Him in return for the forgiveness
of sin and being washed in the Blood to purify us for His Glory. Col. 1:26 Christ’s coming to the earth
and laying down His life for us who were in sin was seen through a glass darkly by OT Prophets but when
it came to pass, it was no longer a mystery but revealed and made manifest to His saints. This mystery is
Christ living in us, the Hope of Glory. I Tim. 3:16 Paul wrote to Timothy to show how the church should
conduct itself. He tells all six things the Spirit through Jesus did on earth. This is the reality of True Life.
