Today is the day!!! We hope to see a lot of happy, smiling faces today ready to meet new people and just enjoy the day. Check out the amazing vendors that will be there, make a friendship bracelet or 2 or a tie dye totebag, put together a group of friends to play corn hole or Jenga, and enjoy the Drag queen show. 🎉🌈🎊😊👏💖

🌈 Standing Proud, Staying Safe 🛑

Pride is a celebration of love, identity, and community. While most people come in support, it’s possible we may encounter protesters. Here’s how we handle them—with pride, not provocation:

✨ Stay focused – Don’t engage. Most protesters want attention or a reaction. Ignoring them is powerful.

🛡️ Stay safe – If someone becomes aggressive, alert an event volunteer right away. We will be doing our best to walk through the area periodically.

💖 Support each other – Check in with friends and community members. We’re stronger together.

🌈 Celebrate louder – Love always drowns out hate. Keep dancing, keep marching, keep being YOU.

Let’s show that Pride is about joy, resilience, and unity—not distraction.

Drag Show Etiquette:

Ahead of tomorrow's family friendly drag show, we wanted to share some etiquette guidelines for being a great viewer!

It's common practice in drag performance culture to tip the performer. Generally this is done in small bills, but please only tip if you can afford to do so! If you want to tip more, and can, go for it! Tipping is the backbone of a drag performer’s income.

TIPPING-
Extend your arm: Hold the cash in your hand and extend your arm towards the performer.

Don't taunt: Make it easy for the performer to collect your tip. Ex: do not pull the bill back and forth or play games making it difficult to get, it’s all about respect!

Wait for a good moment: Avoid tipping during a fast paced performance; wait for a pause or a moment where the performer is interacting with the audience.

Don't shove money into clothing: Unless the performer specifically instructs you to do so, tipping should be done with a respectful and clear gesture. Do NOT touch others without consent.

BEHAVIOR-

It's the performer's spotlight: The queen/king has worked hard to create a performance for us to enjoy! Let’s let them have their moment.

Make some noise: Feel free to clap, cheer, snap, and make some noise to celebrate the performer, especially if they've done a trick or stunt!

Make memories: Use your phone and record if you'd like! Share with your loved ones the fun time you're having.

Again, no touching: Just a reminder not to touch the performer (or anyone for that matter) without consent. High fives are cool!
Squeezing or smacking padding is not. You can always ask for a hug or a photo after!

Let's make tomorrow a great show for both the audience and performers!

You all did it! We received an overwhelming response to our call for donations needed, and we are happy to report that Middleville Pride 2026 is a go!!!

To say that I am overwhelmed by the generosity of this community and so many amazing people, is an understatement. Thank you is not enough. I hope everyone listed in this post realizes how very much you are appreciated.

UPDATE! Wow!!! You all answered the call, and i am thrilled to say we currently have enough to bring Middleville Pride 2026 to the community again this year. We are beyond thankful.

We will continue to accept donations as every little bit helps bring more to the fun. Watch for an updated donor shoutout later tonight or tomorrow morning.

We are approximately five weeks away from Middleville Pride 2026, and we urgently need additional financial support to make this important community event possible.

We recognize that these are challenging economic times, and we do not make this request lightly. Unfortunately, we have reached a point where, without additional donations, we may be forced to cancel this year's event. A decision will need to be made in the coming weeks.

If you are in a position to contribute, we would be deeply grateful for your support. Every donation, regardless of the amount, helps us move closer to bringing this celebration to our community. Donation information is provided below for those who are able to give.
