Thornapple Township Deer Managment Cooperative Established September 2011, We are at 2575 acres of participation and growing at an exciting rate!

Thornapple twp co-op is a growing community of neighbors and fellow hunters working towards a healthy deer herd and growing mature bucks. We will have meetings in september to discuss goals and greet new neighbors to the group, and another in january to discuss improvment results that we observed during season, bring in jaw bones and antlers for scoring and ageing. We will also try to incorperate

members of the QDMA, DNR and local bioligist to help educate our group with the fundamentals of Quality Deer Managment!

WEEKLY SURVIVAL WEDNESDAY!: There were no collared deer mortalities this week. Each week we monitor adult doe and fawn survival to identify cause-specific mortality sources. Doe survival remains at 73% (24 of 33 alive), last doe mortality was on the 25th of April. Fawn survival is now at 37% (10 of 27 alive), last fawn mortality was on the 26th of October.
