What we are seeing is 16' x 50" cattle panels. I have tilled the area where the panel meets the earth. Staked the panel down.

You now have a "U" (upside down) shaped trellis. Used for planting.

There are 2 panels of grape varieties. There are 3 panels worth of strawberry varieties.

So far, we have put 5 of 10 panels up.

To the left of the panels will be a 50'x50' wildflower area. Seeded with thoughts of "hummingbird, butterflies and bee's".

We are looking at some "Norway Spruce" tree's. They was planted in 2020 as COVID was sweeping the world.

What's special is that John & Joyce's ashes (they both were cremated) are below most of the Evergreen tree's that was planted.

At one time there was close to 70+ evergreens planted. About ⅓ was lost in 2025 unfortunately.

A large number will be replaced with Cedar's this year.

John spent most of his adult life and Joyce spent a large amount of her adult life on this property. Both wanted to stay on the hill as part of last wishes. This is 1 of the ways I honor that wish.

The story of "Tre'".

We named this particular deer "Tre' ". It wandered onto the sanctuary around March of 2024.

It is believed to have been hit on the state highway about 2000 yards away. It came limping in on a Sunday.

We noticed and tracked it. Lots of blood loss. It kept coming and going on its own, so we kept contact to a minimum.

I contacted the game warden concerning the leg loss. I was told, that as long as it's health did not deteriorate, to let it be.

We set up some game camera's, food, fresh water daily, mineral & salt blocks for it.

For a little over a month, Tre' came and went as it pleased. Eating cracked corn, whole corn, sweet feed, walnuts, apples, grapes, carrots etc. to its fill.

Pretty soon we noticed other wildlife enjoying the smorgasbord. (Discuss another time).

All good things come to an end unfortunately.

A larger group of deer moved in 7+ and we did not see Tre' anymore. It's status is unknown.

Till next time...
