At our last District Roundtable, Pack 1059 leaders Erik B. and Elizabeth L. celebrated a major Scouting achievement: receiving their Wood Badge beads after completing their tickets!

Wood Badge is Scouting’s advanced leadership training, where adult volunteers build skills they can use to support Scouts and strengthen their units. A “ticket” is a set of personal goals participants complete after the course, putting what they’ve learned into action to benefit Scouting.

Erik and Elizabeth were joined for the celebration by fellow Scout leaders Dani D. and Kimberly G. We’re proud of their dedication and grateful for the time and leadership they give to Scouting.

Congratulations, Erik and Elizabeth—and congratulations to all the leaders celebrating this milestone!

What a fun night at Pack 1059’s October Halloween Safety meeting!

Our Scouts came dressed in their Halloween costumes and enjoyed a night full of learning, laughter, and a little spooky fun! They reviewed ways to stay safe on Halloween, including being visible to drivers, using crosswalks, staying with their group and buddy, and finding a trusted adult if they need help.

Then it was time for Ghosts in the Graveyard: Buddy System Edition! The Scouts had a blast racing through the “graveyard” while practicing how to stick with their buddy and look out for one another. We wrapped up the night with everyone filling a Halloween candy bag on their way out. 🍬

We also celebrated some fantastic costumes:

🏆 Most Creative: Molly R.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Best Family Costume: Elizabeth, Roman, and Chris S.
👻 Scariest Costume: Hank B.
😂 Funniest Costume: Tommy B.
🧵 Best Homemade Costume: Chase C.

Congratulations to all our costume winners, and thank you to everyone who joined us for such a festive evening. We hope all our Pack 1059 families have a safe and happy Halloween!

⭐ October Scout of the Month: Emily L! ⭐

Pack 1059’s Scout of the Month program celebrates Scouts who show the Scout spirit through their kindness, effort, helpfulness, and example to others. This October, Emily was chosen because she consistently brings those qualities to everything she does.

Emily is outgoing, friendly, and always ready to lend a hand. She helps younger Scouts learn and feel welcome, and she’s great at connecting with families who are considering joining our pack. She volunteers to help leaders, takes part in pack activities, and shows her Scout spirit through her hard work and positive attitude.

Emily has also gone above and beyond by earning her CPR certification and attending both a committee meeting and District Roundtable. Her willingness to learn, serve, and support Scouting is something to be proud of.

Congratulations, Emily, and thank you for being such a wonderful example to Pack 1059! ⚜️

What a wonderful day for Pack 1059’s hike at High Point Monument!

We had a fantastic turnout and beautiful weather as we explored the High Point Trail together last Sunday. The fall foliage was in full color, making the views along the way extra special. It was great to see so many Scouts and families out enjoying the fresh air, cheering each other on, and sharing a memorable day outdoors.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun hike. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!

What a great weekend at Ten Mile River! Pack 1059 teamed up with Pack 1071 from Milford, PA, for a weekend of camping and an open shoot.

Cub Scouts from across the council joined us to try archery, BB guns, and slingshots, spend time outdoors, and make memories together. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make it such a fun weekend!
