There are some moments that stay with you long after you leave, and visiting Giddy Hall Primary & Infant School and Middle Quarters Primary School was one of those moments for me. ❤️🇯🇲
Seeing the children, their innocence, their smiles, and the way they welcomed us touched my heart deeply. Many of them may not fully understand the changes happening around them or the reality of their schools being merged, but as adults, we understand what that means. It reminded me just how important it is for parents, teachers, caregivers, and communities to protect their hearts, preserve their innocence, and make sure they still feel safe, loved, and supported.
What also stood out to me was the teachers. You could see the love. You could see the concern. You could see how much they genuinely want the best for their students. That kind of dedication cannot be taught — it comes from the heart.
I feel truly blessed that God allowed me to be there, to experience their love, to speak with them, and to witness their strength firsthand.
I speak Jeremiah 29:11 over the lives of these children:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
May God’s grace and mercy follow them throughout this school year. May He protect their minds, guard their hearts, strengthen their teachers, bless their families, and remind these children that their present circumstances do not define where they are going.
Their future is still filled with hope, purpose, and possibility. 🙏🏾❤️🇯🇲
