What an incredible weekend at Living Grace Worship Cathedral!
On Saturday, our church family gathered for our Annual Church BBQ in the Park. It was a day filled with fellowship, laughter, food, games, and community as we celebrated the blessing of doing life together. Moments like these remind us that church is more than a place we attend—it’s a family we belong to.
Then on Sunday, we celebrated Women’s Sunday, where our women led throughout the service in prayer, scripture, worship, and ministry. We thank God for the strength, faith, wisdom, and leadership of the women of Living Grace.
Bishop Jeffery J. Broughton, Sr. delivered a powerful message from Philippians 4:4-9 entitled, “Excellence Is a Kingdom Lifestyle.”
Through Paul’s words, we were reminded that excellence is not about impressing people—it is about honoring God. True excellence begins on the inside before it is ever seen on the outside. It is reflected in our thoughts, attitudes, worship, service, and daily walk with Christ.
Bishop challenged us to:
• Rejoice in the Lord in every season.
• Allow God to transform our minds and hearts.
• Refuse fear, negativity, and distractions.
• Live a life that reflects Christ both inside and outside the church walls.
• Pursue excellence as a lifestyle, not an occasional act.
One of the most powerful reminders of the day was that excellence begins with the right attitude. No matter what we face, our praise, our faith, and our commitment to God should remain steadfast because Christ never changes.
As we continue through our Month of Excellence, may we be reminded that we are evidence of God’s grace, mercy, and faithfulness. Let us live each day in a way that honors Him and reflects the Kingdom.
“Excellence is not merely what we do. Excellence is who we become in Christ.”
