Middletown lost a man who touched countless lives.

Roger Conner was more than a supporter, volunteer, neighbor, and friend—he was one of those rare people whose presence made every room a little brighter. His generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our community left a mark that cannot be measured.
He believed in this community and in the people who call it home. His support helped strengthen not only the Sorg, but so many organizations, causes, and individuals throughout Middletown.
While we will deeply miss seeing Roger’s smile his impact will continue to be felt in the friendships he built, the lives he touched, and the community he helped make better.
Our hearts go out to Roger’s family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. Thank you, Roger, for your kindness, your generosity, and your belief in Middletown. You will be missed by all of us, but you will never be forgotten.

Phew... what a weekend at the Sorg Opera House!

We didn't have one, not two, but THREE incredible bands grace our historic stage, filling the building with music, energy, and memories. From the first note to the final encore, it was a reminder of exactly why this place matters.

Every ticket purchased, every seat filled, every round of applause helps support the ongoing revitalization of this 1891 treasure while bringing people together in the heart of downtown Middletown.

A huge thank you to the performers, volunteers, sponsors, staff, and everyone who came out to support live entertainment at the Sorg. Weekends like this prove that the Sorg isn't just preserving history—we're making new history every day.

Now excuse us while we catch our breath and start getting ready for what's next. There's always something happening at the Sorg!

Talk about bringing the heat!
Tonight, Tyler Christopher and his full band lit up the stage at the Sorg with an incredible Elvis- performance complete with a powerhouse horn section that had the crowd rocking from start to finish.
From classic hits to high-energy showmanship, it was a reminder of why live entertainment is so special and why the Sorg continues to be a destination for unforgettable experiences.
There’s always something happening at the Sorg Opera House—concerts, theater, films, community events, and more. If you haven’t visited lately, you’re missing out on all the excitement!

We get a lot of questions about what’s happening when the lights aren’t on and the doors aren’t open. While we can’t give away all our secrets, we can tell you that things are definitely happening!
Our friends from Middletown Lyric Theatre have been working hard on The Nance , helping bring some exciting plans to life. And this Saturday, we’re thrilled to welcome Tyler Christopher back to the Sorg for what promises to be a terrific evening of entertainment.
Just because the building looks quiet from the outside doesn’t mean we’re standing still. Behind those historic walls, ideas are being developed, events are being planned, and volunteers are working hard to keep the momentum going.
Stay tuned… there’s always something brewing at the Sorg Opera House!
