Today New Era Baptist Church gathered to celebrate their 103rd year anniversary. Along with that celebration, they were presented the Kingswell award for their continued impact in our community of Middletown. Thank you for your impact!

Mark your calendars! On Feb. 26th, we will be a site location for Anderson University School of Theology's 2nd Annual Multiplication Conference. The conference will be streamed live from our learning center, where Scott Lewis will also facilitate conversations around the topic for local participants. The conference will be from 9am to about 5:15pm. Participants will break for lunch at area restaurants in our beautiful downtown. More information and a registration site will soon be provided. With nearly 200 people gathered for a monthly lunch, the Social Command of Butler County was honored today for their excellent support for area veterans. Because of their financial, psychological, spiritual and social support for veterans in our community, they were presented with the Kingswell Impact Project Award. Congratulations and we are a much better community because of you!

For Saturday, Sew Purpose is hosting a craft sale for vendors of various sorts. Come be part of the excitement. Our bookstore will also be open to all of you book lovers (cheap, cheap, cheap books).

As many know, Kingswell has been hosting the Impact Gala for eight years. Unfortunately, we are not continuing the in-person gala portion this year. Although our Gala has been primarily a fundraiser, we have never raised enough money to break even for these events. The event takes enormous funds to secure a venue, catering, sound, decor, rental equipment, videography, etc.

Having said all that, and after much thought and consideration, we have decided to honor our Impact candidates with an award in their context. We will do so in person over the next several months and post pictures of each recipient receiving their award on social media.

This is just a wise decision. Everything changes over time, and the nature of fundraising for nonprofits also changes.
