Many folks in Clay County know Art Sanders as the man who brought an abandoned pecan orchard back to life!It was not until after he signed the deed on the 46-acre parcel 5 miles south of West Point in 1999 that Sanders learned what he had acquired. Aerial property photos revealed rows of trees, showing the previous owner had planned the orchard and planted pecan trees there in the mid-1980s—even augmenting it with an irrigation system and a well—before walking away from it.“I didn’t realize it was a pecan orchard because there were so many other cedars and pines everywhere,” Sanders recalls. “I had no notion of being a pecan farmer at all. I just wanted to have some land to give me a purpose after I retired.”
He moved back to Mississippi in 2013 after a 30-plus year career in Chicago, Illinois as a firefighter. He didn't waste any time and began clearing land, ripping up bad trees, and nursing the surviving ones to health until they began to bear fruit.
The orchard—nearly 800 trees—is now the official home of Lindy’s Pecans, named after Sanders’s wife, and boasts 10 pecan varieties, including Desirable, Pawnee, and Lakota.
Along the way, he has used a variety of resources offered by the Mississippi State University Extension Service to his benefit—and he still does. He’s a regular attendee of Extension’s field day events, and he often uses the MSU Extension soil testing lab, which provides analyses and nutrient management recommendations for different soils and plant tissues.

My perspective too..... I am all for brothers and sisters keeping the union. I am also for love the one that loves you even if not of your own race or creed. For me its God first relationship over the color of his skin. The rest will fall into place..... I had to comment about relationships . But then thought of some other things in this system and how people think because of their dealings in it....

This pi**es me off...
Cycles need to be broken if they no longer work If they are not conducive to your life style , goals, physical or mental health and sprituality.....

Both men and women need to Rebuke the accuser. God had a sentence for satan since Genesis when he got man to turn against God. Man had Gods plan and had FREE WILL to live by his plan. So do we. Satan can accuse God that man only worships him because of mans favor and blessing that God provides to them ..........But the story of the bible continues generation after generation .......faithful servants after another who lost everything, everyone, and had no favor from God at one point or another in their life BUT still remained obedient to their creator

Sooo when it comes to relationships.....work... sprituality, and life in general....use Gods word as a guide on how to live and make it through. He knows what is best for you and will turn everything around... he has somebody for everyone IF YOU LET HIM.....his way

We know God loves us and protects us but would be foolish to take that for granted with reckless lifestyes in how we love, work, live with one another. We always go beyond boundaries at work home or play with each others space. We take things too far and always says..God knows my heart...well he does..and if you dont change it or your ways when it comes to acting or making foolish choices to hurt yourself or others you will be left with the consequences thereof!

When single moms get denied because she makes too much money..$16 over the alloted amount according to fed(state to state) guidelines for the amount a family of my size was under

I say give me the amount according to my income for my family UP to your guidelines
MINUS $16 worth of stamps

The representative who by the way only had this intake job at welfare because the government made recipients work to keep their benefits...
So don't tell me Bama that "maybe you should quit one of your jobs to qualify"
