Greetings to all my kiddos , siblings, and their families. Welcome all new kiddos to KNO.
Insight: My granny influenced me in a way that I became a “social worker” at heart from the age of 2. When I was a little girl, I watched and paid close attention to my granny, Charlotte, and how she took care of her family and others. I was always mature for my age. I listened and took mental notes of how things went. I began babysitting at the early age of 10. I am loving, caring, nurturing, and responsible. A lot of those qualities were instilled in me early.
I raised four children of my own who are responsible, caring, and loving young adults today. I have adopted IN LOVE, six foster children who I call my own and their children. I would not give that up for nothing in the world. If they ever need me too , I will be there.
I was blessed to have quality time with my grandmother ,Charlotte Elizabeth Jefferies, who I was named after. She was my fraternal grandmother. I was also named after Elizabeth Tittle Noon. She was my maternal grandmother. So I had both of their names, Charlette Elizabeth Jefferies. Growing up my sister called me “C.E.” for short because she could not say my big name when she was two. That nickname follows me to this day in PA among family and friends. In Florida, people call me Charlette. Very few close friends in FL know me by C.E.
“Granny” is what everyone called Charlotte. She had a big heart and did not take no crap. She cared deeply for her family , friends, and the community at large. In her lifetime she opened and managed three recreation centers for the youth. She provided homework tutoring, snack bar, jukebox and music for dancing, billiards , ping pong, air hockey, pinball machines, and board games for our entertainment. “WHOLESOME” is what our upbringing was in Middletown, PA. To this day ask anybody who grew up there what they would remember. They too would come up with the same answer. Everyone knew Eddie, Paula, and C.E.. Granny’s house was the spot to be. Our house also became the spot to be. Charlotte gave cookouts and block parties galore as well as sponsored Talent Shows at the M.C.O..She made sure there was a safe have for us when were teens.
She had us in church every Sunday singing in the choir. She had a bed and breakfast on one side of her (duplex) home and lived in the other. She took in people to house and feed; single mothers, fathers, couples, or whom ever needed a temporary place to stay. Of course, she invited and took many to church that would want to go. She chartered buses to take youth on trips to Dorney Park, Knoebols, Kings Dominion, Hershey Park , Dutch Wonderland, Docs Skating Rink, and Bowling as well as other church picnics.
So I started my own thing where granny left off. Even though I have been babysitting all my life. Today Im proud as of having raised children who are 34, 33, 32, and 30. I really went hard working in the foster care system at Salvation Army. That experience lit that passion in me to do more for children and families. So, I decided to start a ministry of childcare. K.N.O. This is a personal ministry from my HEART. “Home is where the heart is”, we all know that. But it is also with me where ever children are around. I can always be K.N.O.--On The GO,-- or your personal family NANNY. I am a phone call, or text away. What FREE time do you need? Call me.
Warm Regards,
MISSION: To provide a safe, fun, nurturing environment for children to share, respect, play, and learn in the company of their peers. At the same time, to provide single parents, parents, or grandparents raising grandchildren a much needed break to enjoy the company of their own peers.
VISION: To see loving bonds formed between children and families bringing them closer together and closer to me. I want them to see the love of Christ lived out when they are with me,,engaged , and bonding with me. I serve parents by offering them uninterrupted time for themselves alone or in the company of their peers. They can be rest assured that while they tend to their own needs, that I am making sure that the children’s needs are met, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually in my care.
