Laborers Local 534 offers our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Brother Clifford Cassidy, who sadly passed away on May 17. Clifford was a proud Union man, who retired in 2013. He spent his last working years at Brandenburg Industrial and worked many years at Thermal Solutions, Midway, and Graycor. Please contact Billie Ryan for information regarding funeral arrangements.

Everett and myself, along with all local leaders in Ohio, had the pleasure of meeting with our General President, Brent Booker, and hearing him and other great speakers talk about the state of Ohio, the future of work, as well as the challenges and opportunities we face.

ATTENTION MEMBERS : This month we will be having our FINAL classes being offered AT THE HALL this season for those wanting trained for heavy highway jobs.

The first class coming NEXT WEEK is Solar Farm Construction APRIL 13-15

Then on APRIL 20-22 we have Grade Laser training ( ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TAKEN A1 instruments and leveling) IF you have A1, make sure you take this!

Finally, On SATURDAY APRIL 25 is STP Part 1 and SATURDAY MAY 2 is STP Part 2. MUST ATTEND BOTH CLASSES TO GET CREDIT! This class is filling up fast!

UPDATE: 20 SPOTS LEFT

For those of you asking about heavy highway jobs, as you know STP(Safety Training Passport) is required for that work. We will be having a special class on Saturday April 25(part 1)and the following Saturday, May 2 ( part 2)This is ONE class being held over two Saturdays. This class can hold 40 people max, and will be 8 hours each day. If your interested respond below or call us at 513-423-5533. Also this class must be renewed every 5 years. You must be a LiUNA member to attend any classes.
