✨LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME - HAMILTON, OH
Nala’s story is a little unusual, but that just makes her all the more special. We first heard about her from a local shelter. They said she’d been adopted from us, but when her owner couldn’t reach us (which, for the record, never happened), she was surrendered to the shelter instead. At first, we honestly didn’t have the resources to bring in another cat. But then the shelter told us what would happen if no one stepped in: Nala was so withdrawn and scared, she was at risk of being euthanized. We couldn’t let that happen.
So, we went to get her. And that’s when we discovered the truth—Nala had never been one of our cats. She wasn’t microchipped, and the person who surrendered her had actually adopted a different cat from us. We still don’t know what happened to that cat. But there Nala was, terrified and alone.
At the shelter, Nala was completely shut down. She was frozen in fear, refusing to eat or drink. She had a fever and clearly felt pretty awful. But once we brought her into a foster home, things started to change. With time, patience, and a lot of love, Nala began to heal. She’s still learning to trust, but she’s already showing how resilient and loving she can be.
Now, Nala is looking for a family who will never give up on her. She needs someone patient, who understands that her life hasn’t been easy, and who can give her the time and kindness she needs to fully blossom. Nala deserves a home where she’ll be cherished and safe—where she’ll never be left behind again.
