Butler County’s Black infant mortality rate improved from 13.7 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2023 to 7.7 in 2025. That progress is meaningful, but Black babies continued to experience the county’s highest racial disparity. Closing this gap requires listening to Black women and families, improving access to trusted support, and addressing the conditions that shape health before, during, and after pregnancy.
