Artfarm Theater. Simple Living. Activism. ARTFARM currently operates out of a small office at 119 highland Ave in Middletown, CT.

We partner with many organizations, both local and further afield (2013 featured a fabulous exchange between ARTFARM and Vermont's Bread and Puppet Theater, supported by the Network of Ensemble Theaters), so we currently have many artistic homes. It is our intention to acquire a farm in central Connecticut, and renovate the barn, turning it into a performance, workshop and retreat space. We are de

dicated to the ideas of farm preservation and open space and greatly concerned about the increasing rate that developers are consuming Connecticut's precious lands. ARTFARM – a theater, a working small organic farm, and a retreat and workshop center where artists, activists, under-served young people and just good folks can come for renewal and inspiration.

These past few weeks have been exciting at ARTFARM, culminating in an amazing "yurt-raising" on July 16. So many friends and supporters made this possible, from hauling white oak to build the platform to raising the chimney for the woodstove (which has yet to be installed but will be soon!). This will be a year-round retreat for rehearsals, training, small workshops, meditation, yoga, circus and more. BIG THANKS to all the people who have contributed labor and resources over the past 5 weeks, and we hope to see you all in the ARTFARM Yurt sometime soon! Special shout out to John Gohorel, Scott Kessel and Fern from Two Girls Farm and Yurts, but really over 20 friends and neighbors helped to bring this vision to life!

The film screening of "The Wisdom of Happiness" - originally scheduled for January 23, has been re-scheduled to Friday, February 6 at 7 pm at 128 Washington Street in Middletown.
