We shared an incredible evening at our second annual "Light Up for Christ" Christmas tree lighting, blessing, and reception! Despite the icy weather, our parish community gathered as one in faith, warmth, and celebration to officially begin the holy season of Advent and welcome the light of Christ into our hearts. Saint Nicholas made his grand appearance, delighting all the children. Rumor has it he almost slipped on the snow…but he assured us he’s got great insurance through the Knights of Columbus North Pole Agency.

As we enter the Advent season, we wish you peace, joy, and a blessed journey toward Christmas.

It was a busy and faith-filled Sunday for Council 486!

After all Masses at St. Joseph’s Church, our Knights handed out free Ascension Press Rosary meditation booklets to parishioners. These beautiful booklets guide readers through every prayer and Mystery, helping deepen our love for the Rosary — moving from simple repetition to true relationship with Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.

Later that day, some of our members joined the annual 40 Days for Life rally, praying together in defense of the unborn and standing for the dignity of every human life.

Council 486 is honored to support St. Mary’s Outreach/St. Vincent DePaul Veteran's Food Pantry, located in Newburgh, NY. This incredible organization provides food, clothing, and supplies to local residents and delivers goods to homebound seniors, homebound veterans, and single mothers. They are also integral in supporting local pregnant mothers in need of essentials as they prepare to give birth.
