Strategy, Strength, and Sweets! 📈🧁

We had a packed house today at MOT Rotary. We spent time reflecting on our highlights from this past year and looking forward to our membership growth plans. A huge shoutout to Michelle Gramlich for her vision in building our new committees—she’s empowered us all to lead with our strengths!
Because of her hard work, we are ready to hit the ground running with our incoming President, Kristen Newell Krenzer.

We wrapped it all up with fellowship, birthdays, and anniversaries. Looking through these photos, it’s clear: the best part of Rotary is the people. 🤝❤️

The District Conference was nothing short of inspiring and impactful—M.O.T. showed up and showed out!
A huge shout-out to DG Dale Kerns for her amazing work putting this entire event together. From the inspiring keynote speakers to the 0K "marathon" (definitely the highlight of the day!), every moment was top-notch

It was a true honor to see Bill and Millie O’Neal recognized for their incredible dedication and heart for service.

Thank you both for your leadership and for showing us the true meaning of being Rotarians.

A special thank you to our President, Michelle, and our Treasurer, Ceil, for attending, celebrating, and serving as our electors during the business meeting. Your commitment made this weekend so impactful!

Being a Rotarian at its core is about caring for others. The MOT Rotary Club works to fundraise throughout the year to provide care to those in our community and all around the world.

Each quarter, on top of our fundraising efforts, we work together on service projects to brighten the day of our neighbors.

Full Circle Moment! Our students are doing incredible things and sometimes they help us rediscover something important.

When our recent scholarship winner shared that she is the President of the Interact Club at Appoquinimink High School, it set off a search that led to rediscovering a Rotary youth club with a history going back to 2011.

During the COVID years, many schools operated in hybrid or online formats, and unfortunately a lot of club data across organizations became inactive especially when advisor information was not resubmitted. With student leadership changing every July, it’s easy for those details to get lost.

After some intense research, Rotary International confirmed the club’s active status and, with the support of District Governor Dale Kerns, officially reissued the club certification—backdated to its original charter date of February 28, 2011.

Even more special, President-Elect Kristen Newell Krenzer who originally founded the Interact Club is also the incoming MOT Rotary Club President for 2026–2027. What a wonderful way to begin her year of “Creating Lasting Impact.”

With support from the District and our Assistant Governor, Kristen presented the students with their official certificate and Interact pins.

The club meets in Room D212 and is supported by two dedicated advisors:
Mrs. Susan Sappington and Ms. Alexis Kimpton.

The students have already been involved in several service projects, including:
• Color A Smile
• Wreaths Across America
• Food Drive for the MOT Senior Center
• Paracord bracelets for Operation Gratitude

They are also welcoming students interested in becoming future officers.

Looking ahead, plans are already underway to connect Interact students with Rotary service projects and opportunities such as scholarships, funding, and RYLA.

This is exactly what Rotary youth service is about- mentorship, leadership, and community impact.

If your club ever needs extra support or resources, please reach out to your Assistant Governor. They’re always happy to help support our clubs.
