He faced the same qiblah as you, but he shouldn’t have.

Al-Baraa ibn Ma’roor (ra) embraced Islam in Medina before the hijrah, when Muslims still prayed toward Masjid al-Aqsa.

He knew he could be wrong, but his deep reflection led him to pray in a different direction: toward the Ka’bah.

He visited the Prophet ﷺ and asked about it. The Prophet ﷺ reminded him to pray toward Masjid al-Aqsa, and he did so.

He passed away before the qiblah actually changed. But this story is still told as one of the two good mistakes he made.

For those who do not know or need more details, please read the following.

Albayan Academy is now a provider of EdChoice, which means you will not be asked to pay the full tuition amount if you are eligible once you apply. For those who need assistance applying, I am readily available.
We work with families in order to support them to make quarterly payments as to make payments an easier and less burdensome task.
We will be providing transportation services for those who need and asked.
This school has all certified staff members. We are following the Department of Ohio Educational Standards. Everything is run through, reviewed and consulted through the best and most knowledgeable.
Our students will graduate with a high school diploma from a recognized school.
We aspire to be one of the top private schools in the nation.
We are a high school. Our students surpassed our expectations and have scored magnificently in MAP testing.
One of our students, finished the year with an astonishing 4.2 GPA with consistent support and guidance.

On May 15th, 2024, the Mayor of Middletown, Elizabeth Slamka gave us the absolute pleasure of hosting her at Albayan Academy, on that day we showed her around, ate great food, and took pictures with the staff and students.

The Albayan team would like to thank Elizabeth Slamka for her continued support and we look forward to seeing her again in the future!

Following this school year, Marzieh Hatamzadeh will be unfortunately leaving Albayan Academy. The Albayan team would like to thank Marzieh Hatamzadeh for being a light for the students at Albayan Academy, we will miss her very much and we pray Allah (SWT) blesses her on her journey.

In her goodbye she said,
“I truly am greatful for the time spent with you all and the experiences learned during school year 2023-24. I’m impressed on how much the teachers and the administration tried for establishing the foundation of school based on the high values and to help the students succeed.
I’m honored to be a part of it.”
