It's National Trails Day! Celebrate the day by getting outside and enjoying the beginning of the summer season. You can find hiking trails all over the Garden State, but our favorites are at Scudder Preserve. Come see for yourself!

This World Environment Day, remember that we're borrowing nature from our children.

The strongest advocacy is what you can sustainably maintain. Whether you plant native species, volunteer locally, reduce waste, support conservation, or simply spend more time appreciating the outdoors, every action matters. Do what you can, and then keep doing it! 💚

Thank you for your help to .

MCF was honored to attend the unveiling of Monmouth County’s 250 Monument at Swimming River Park!

This special waterfront park is the result of a long-standing partnership between MCF, the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, and the Monmouth County Park System to preserve open space, restore the watershed, and create public access to the water.

The beautiful ceremony featured inspiring speakers, live music, and the unveiling of a moving statue series recognizing the families, fighting, and patriotism that secured our Nation’s independence. Thank you to the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, Middletown Mayor Tony Perry, and the Monmouth NJ 250 Committee for a memorable celebration of America’s 250th anniversary! 🇺🇸

Did you see us on the road? MCF's Conservation Wagon had a busy spring. We visited several schools to deliver hands-on, engaging environmental education activities aligned with Next Generation Science Standards. We hope all our young conservationists (and their teachers!) have a relaxing summer, and we look forward to seeing you again next school year. Stay tuned for booking updates and new program offerings coming soon!

Thank you to The Rumson Country Day School, Barkalow Middle School, and Memorial Middle School for booking experiences with the Conservation Wagon this spring, and special recognition to Ray Catena Auto Group , who generously donated the Conservation Wagon to MCF!

Have you met Scudder Preserve's 202-year-old tulip tree? It's the second biggest in the Garden State! Check out our website for the free community programs we host at Scudder Preserve, including a guided tree walk where you'll meet this beauty and learn about other trees on the property. Trees are carbon sequestration powerhouses that provide critical habitat for wildlife and well-being for people. Thank you for joining us for this moment of a-tree-ciation!

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing team from MJH Life Sciences who connected with MCF through EarthShare New Jersey. Last week, they rolled up their sleeves and spent the day caring for Scudder Preserve. From mowing trails and removing invasive plants to clearing fallen branches, picking up litter, helping with trail maintenance, and recycling, they tackled it all with energy and enthusiasm.

As a proud founding member of EarthShare New Jersey, MCF is always grateful for opportunities to connect businesses and volunteer groups with meaningful outdoor service projects that make a real difference (and happen to be a lot of fun, too 🌎✨).

Thank you for helping keep Scudder Preserve beautiful for the community, wildlife, and future visitors alike!

Though they are naturalized throughout the United States, dandelions technically aren't native. Who's going to be the one to tell this happy little bee?

Although native plants are always better for the environment, dandelions, also known as golden buttons or fairy clocks, can improve soil health and provide valuable food resources for pollinators in early spring. The bee seems to think so!
