We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that provides one-time grants to steadily employed individuals who have been able to financially support themselves until a recent (and unexpected) event changed their circumstances. A qualified applicant may receive assistance with housing utilities, medical bills, auto repairs or other expenses, enabling them to resolve financial difficulties. Founde

We are so proud of our very own board member, Barry Lewis! 🌟

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts recently featured Barry in their "20 Stories for 20 Years" series — and it is a wonderful read. As the former Executive Editor of the Times Herald-Record and a longtime journalist covering Sullivan County, Barry has been a witness to and champion of this region's history for decades.

Barry has been an incredible part of the People For People Fund family since 2014, and we are so honored to have someone with his passion, knowledge, and heart on our board. This recognition is well deserved!

Today we honor, reflect, and celebrate.

Happy Juneteenth to our entire community. On this day, June 19, 2026, the People For People Fund pauses to acknowledge and honor Juneteenth National Independence Day and the profound significance it holds for so many in the communities we serve.

Today, we celebrate those values and the resilience of every community member who carries this history forward.

In just the first quarter of 2026, the People For People Fund provided $32,085 in one-time financial assistance to neighbors across Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties — and it was made possible entirely because of this community's generosity.

Here is where every dollar went:
🚗 $2,681 in auto repairs, insurance, and loans
🏠 $20,414 in rental assistance
🏡 $2,320 in mortgage assistance
💡 $6,671 in utilities
📊 49 total grants provided to neighbors in need
