800 Pounds of Food! 👀
We are so grateful to the MCPASD families and staff who donated. Our Middleton community shows up. 🥰
Thank you to everyone who donated to our Back to School Night food drives! Your generosity brought in more than 800 pounds of food for the Weekend Food Program and WayForward Resources.
MCPASD families and staff donated food for families in need as part of our partnership with WayForward Resources and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Education Foundation, which manages the Weekend Food Program. The partnership was part of Hunger Action Month, a national campaign held every September to raise awareness and inspire action to end hunger in America. Middleton Meals Matter, the student-run nonprofit at Middleton High School, also supported Hunger Action Month efforts.
“This partnership with the school district is so important to ensuring people throughout our community have access to enough nutritious food and to supporting students' learning, well-being, and school success," said President and CEO of WayForward Resources Ellen Carlson.
