In 1835, there lived an elderly man who had lost the use of his limbs and had been unable to work for several years. This man lived in extreme poverty. His family helped as much as they could, but they were also very poor. Knowing what a burden he was to his family, this man began to wish for death. Then, he heard of the miraculous medal. He quickly obtained a medal, wore it around his neck, said the prayer repeatedly, and kissed the medal frequently. He was soon cured completely and was able to work again and completely support himself.

In 1834, a priest was being treated for an ongoing cough of six years. During the first three years, his physician frequently thought his life to be in imminent danger. Though the priest survived, the next three years brought exhaustion, pain, and internal organ failure, especially his lungs and stomach. One day, someone sent him a miraculous medal, and the priest began to hope for a cure. He began a novena to Our Lady. During the first six days of the novena, the priest’s sufferings greatly increased, especially with regards to his chest and stomach. However, on the seventh day, he began to show improvement, which steadily progressed. On December 8th, the priest was cured of all remaining traces of his illness; he never relapsed.

The woman who was cured of her hemorrhages had a 6-year-old daughter. This daughter had a congenital speech impediment, was rarely able to finish a word, and had been observed to take as long as five minutes trying to complete one word. Sister Marie again recommended the medal and a novena. Initially, the mother was reluctant, though she had been cured of her illness of eight years, because her daughter had a natural defect and this must be incurable. Sister Marie continued to encourage her. The child wore the medal, and they began a novena. On day 6 of the novena, after attending Mass, the little girl was suddenly able to articulate perfectly and speak easily.

In 1834, there lived a woman who had suffered from hemorrhages for eight years. Various physicians had tried multiple courses of treatment without success. This woman was unable to help her husband care for their family; so, for medical and financial reasons, she discontinued medical care. A neighbor begged her to reconsider and seek care from the Sisters of Charity.
Sister Marie came to visit the patient at her home and sent for a physician. After his examination, the doctor stated that the case was hopeless, believing that the woman did not have long to live. Days later, this woman’s entire body became cold and her husband believed her to be dead. However, the neighbor was able to find a pulse, and they worked to warm the patient.
The following afternoon, Sister Marie visited the patient. The woman admitted that, though she attended some parish functions, she had not been to Confession or Holy Communion in many years. Sister Marie asked if she would accept a miraculous medal. The woman agreed and promised to say the prayer each day; she and her husband began a novena. Over the next few days, the woman’s strength returned until she was completely cured. She went to Mass in thanksgiving, became devoted to the Sacraments, and continued to enjoy good health without relapsing.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Ask and you shall receive. :D

Rowena went to the hospital May 2016 for abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with UTI, prescribed medications, and the medications worked. However, she also had KUB ultrasound done, and it was discovered that she had a 1cm stone in her left kidney. Rowena's doctor requested a Stone Gram Test, which will cost 8,000 Php.

Rowena and her common law partner have 4 children who are all still minors in school. He works in the barangay hall (town hall) and receives a monthly honorarium of 3,500 Php. Their only other sources of income are a small store and selling vegetables and bananas around the barangay as time permits.

She sought help from the mission, and Four Missions was able to help. Thank you to all our donors! :D

Silly girls, Black Friday is for amateurs. Real women shop all the time.
When I get tired of shopping, I sit down and try on shoes.
I could give up shopping, but I'm not a quitter.

If these quotes adequately describe you, have I got a shopping list for you! The following are items that would benefit the upcoming 2017 Rosa Mystica Health Mission.
- pulse oximeter(s)
- blood glucose machine(s) and strips
- otoscope(s)
- 25 gauge needles
- 5mL syringes
- lidocaine

Single mother begs for help.

Alice is a single mother whose 10-year-old son Neil Rey suffers from Cerebral Palsy with seizure disorder. Alice had to go to a hospital and learn to do Neil Rey's physical therapy, so that he would not develop bed sores. Neil Rey will need prescription medicines for the maintenance of his condition. Alice needs financial assistance for the therapy and the medicines.

Alice is also a patient of Rosa Mystica Medical Mission. She needs a check up on her varicose veins. She has not been able to go for the check up because she cannot afford it. She also cannot afford the transportation to the hospital or a sitter for Neil Rey.

Alice and Neil Rey survive on whatever income Alice's "sari-sari" store generates. She is not able to leave the home because Neil Rey needs constant support. She would appreciate livelihood assistance. (Please remember that $5-8 is a survivable daily income there.)

The medicines cost approximately $9 every other month, and livelihood assistance would be approximately $25-40 per week. If you would like to help or would like more information, please contact us at PO Box 628551, Middleton, WI 53562 or 608-960-7505. Thank you and God bless.
