Luke’s Closet Dane County

"We have a VERY excited 5 year old 😂 She squealed 'MY TWINKLE TOES ARE HERE!' and insisted we do a photo shoot before school. Thank you!!!" -- recent Shop & Eat family.

Luke's Closet purchases new shoes for Dane County foster, kinship, and adoptive care children at our Shop & Eat events. We measure each child’s feet, help them shop Amazon so they can choose the shoes they want, and ship the shoes to their homes.

Many thanks to our grantors and donors who make twinkle toes possible. 💗

Thanks to an anonymous grant, we were able to stock sports bras for our older girls at the recent Shop & Eat event. When girls play sports, they are healthier mentally and physically!

Luke's Closet serves children in Dane County, WI who reside primarily with non-biological parents such as foster and kinship families.

Over 100 volunteers and food donors make each Shop & Eat event possible. In addition to the St. Luke's community, volunteers come from the greater Dane County area to support children in foster and kinship care including Dean Health Plans (set-up), UW Physical Therapy Students (game room!), National Charity League-Madison (set-up & event), and the wonderful new addition of pet therapy dogs.

"We look forward to this event so much. Thank you to all the volunteers that make this event so special. Everyone is always so kind and friendly. We also appreciate the food provided when we come.Thank you for hosting!" - September 2026 Shop & Eat family

Our volunteers have been working late packing and delivering 23 bags all across Dane County helping foster and kinship care children get a week's worth of clothing, ensuring they have a clean outfit for each school day.

One family receiving clothes this week wrote to say: "Luke's closet is such a big blessing to everyone 🙌🏾😎❤️"
