We're back.

With the furloughs and the question about SNAP benefits, we have a lot of folks in need and they are scared. The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District has partnered with the City of Middleton, WayForward Resources, the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Middleton Business Association to support our community during this difficult time.

CUSTODIAN OF THE YEAR FINALIST | Congratulations to Rodney “Mr. Peanuts” Esser, custodian at Park Elementary School, for being a finalist in the national 2023 Custodian of the Year contest sponsored by Cintas Corporation. This contest recognizes custodians for all they do to help provide students with a clean and safe environment!

We need your help to get Mr.Peanuts enough votes for him to win the title of 2023 Custodian of year! The winner will receive $10,000 cash, $5,000 in Cintas and Rubbermaid products and training valued up to $30,000 from ISSA. New this year, the Top 3 finalists will also win an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas!

About Rodney: Park Elementary School holds a special place in Mr. Peanuts’ heart. In fact, his family used to farm on the land where the school was built. He’s dedicated to his students and even started a program decades ago to help kids in the district who need extra financial support. He provides them with summer jobs and teaches them how to open savings accounts. He also teaches students the importance of trees, how to plant them and the role they play in our lives. On top of that, he’s never missed a first day of school in his 58 years of being a custodian at Park Elementary!

Give Middleton Cross Plains residents a reason to celebrate their local hero and help Rodney be crowned as this year’s top custodian in the U.S.! Voting begins TODAY and ends Friday, April 14. The finalist with the most public votes will receive the grand prize, valued at over $45,000.
