Our second day of summer camp involved lots of Discovery! 🔍
We learned about and met an Axolotl!
We met Fiona Davis from the Gallia Jackson Meigs Solid Waste Managment District and she taught us about recycling, reducing waste, and let us take a look at the bones of local animals.
We learned about paleontology and used our new skills to dig up bones, fossils, and minerals.
We built containers to keep an egg safe from being dropped off our stadium and we were successful!
We also got to create diamond art stickers, working volcanoes, and a huge paper chain
of kind words and actions we can use in our everyday lives.

We had lots of fun yesterday and we hope to see you next week for our day full of crafts!

June 15th, is Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Get information from great local service providers onsite that day, have a awesome lunch in the Old School Cafe, and join us for the Ice Cream Social in the courtyard. Hope to see you there.

Our Spring Bingo Games are April 28th, 2026 here at The Blakeslee Center!! Doors open at 4:30pm and Games start at 6pm! Early Bird Tickets are on sale NOW! Pick them up daily in our Cafe, or we can invoice you online through our PayPal.
