Saturday at the Teamsters anniversary party, Nancy and Jane re-met Tony Bennett, a founding member. He came up from Georgia.
He came over and told them about this little thing that shakes a finger at the vets and says use your quilt. He told us he was Army.
Well, the dynamic duo went to Jane's house (nearby) and got an Alycia Carmen mystery quilt.
As Jane was telling Tony about the quilt, she mentioned Alycia and Rowdy, a Teamster and QOV board member - Tony knows Rowdy, of course.
Name of the pattern is "stars like spaghetti". Seemed a perfect match.
It was a good time!!

Today, volunteers made about 75 blocks!
Participants new to quilting learned about rotary cutting and quarter-inch seam allowances.
One matching set of 48 will make a complete quilt top, while others will be combined with panels to make at least one more.
