🌈 Pride Month 🏳️‍⚧️ can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s a celebration and a tribute to those who have gone before. For others, it’s an empowering recognition of q***r lives.

Research continues to show that LGBTQ+ individuals face mental health challenges connected to experiences of stigma, discrimination, and unequal access to support and care.

Anyone who needs support can reach out to Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC). No one should struggle alone.

We are so thankful to be a recipient of a Vermont Parks Forever in-kind grant, awarding day passes for CSAC’s Youth & Family and Developmental Services Programs!

We’re looking forward to enjoying our beautiful state parks this summer.

Since 2016, Vermont Parks Forever’s Park Access Fund has provided free park passes to thousands of Vermonters each year, including foster families, youth programs, individuals with developmental disabilities, BIPOC communities, new Americans, mental health clients, individuals with limited mobility, who otherwise might not have the chance to experience all Vermont’s state parks have to offer. Many thanks to Vermont Parks Forever!

Counseling Service of Addison County was proud to unveil the first of two “StudioPADs” on Friday! These new modular accessible housing units were developed by WheelPad to provide dignified and accessible homes to the community we serve here in Addison County.

These units are completely self-contained with a kitchenette, bathroom and living space all ADA accessible. The modular design allows for an individual to maintain their own independent space, with support nearby.

A wonderful addition to CSAC’s supported housing toolkit! We are grateful for the support from Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging & Independent Living (DAIL), The Vermont Low Income Trust for Electricity and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Middlebury Peasant Market Grants.

A new accessible modular home is designed to give people more flexible and accessible housing options.
