Well folks, hopefully by now everyone has gotten a nap and slept off their fair food comas, but we did it!!! Thanks to the incredible support of our ✨️AMAZING ✨️ community, another successful Crystal Valley Exchange Club Taco 🌮 Stand season at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair is in the books!

Your consistent and generous support of our efforts helps us raise money that goes right back into the community and benefit the youth of Middlebury and beyond!

We have so many people in our tribe of volunteers to thank for pulling off the 9 day stretch that is THEEE FAIR🎟🍀! THANK YOU Crystal Valley Exchange Club Officers, Members, family members, friends and coworkers, volunteers from the Middlebury Schools Admin team, Teachers, Coaches, staff, scholars and athletes, Town of Middlebury, Indiana Manager Mary Cripe, the Middlebury Optimist Club, Priority One Construction, The Pathway Church Middlebury, Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury and many more!

Additionally, we appreciate the support of these Middlebury businesses that are pivotal for our successful season, THANK YOU

We are so grateful for you all and when we get our number wrap up, we'll report back, but for now, please receive our sincere appreciation for supporting us with your time, energy, bellies and pocketbooks! We are so appreciative! 💙💚...and before you know it, we'll be back for 2027!

Saturday #2 of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair means get it while you can from the Crystal Valley Exchange Club Taco Stand! We so appreciate everyone's generous support of our Taco Stand. Whether it is your money buying food and drinks, your time volunteering, or just being advocates for the work we do, we appreciate you! Thank you to the Dr. Barrow family for holding down Shift 1. We appreciate this veteran crew that faithfully serves each year!

New this year, we dedicated our dining room area to Cecil Yoder and Rosalene Long. Cecil and Rosie were two of the pioneers of our dining area hospitity crew, helping keep the eating area picked up and clean for our customers. Their warm hospitality was a welcome addition to our team. Although we recently said goodbye to Cecil at 96 years of age and Rosie is currently in a memory care facility, their presence still is with us in the Crystal Valley Exchange Club Taco Stand.

Rosie joined our club later in her life, but even at 100 years old would be sharp as a tack and keep us on our toes chipping in wherever possible! She was one of the most outgoing and kind people, asking about what people were doing at work, their family, and remembering the details that made people feel seen.

Cecil was a humble servant and very handy man. He was known to take on tasks that just needed to be done even into his later years. He would come out to the Stand and help however possible or just sit and visit with folks coming thru the line. His gentleness and warmth was always evident.

His son, Dr. Craig Yoder, is our existing Club Secretary (Thank goodness for his years of service!) and responsible for the ordering and management of stocking the Taco Stand with all of the supplies needed to make the magic happen. Craig and his family spend hours upon hours helping get ready, evaluating inventory, and running shifts throughout the week.

A few photos of Cecil's family are below, and the multi-generational legacy of service and excellence he leaves behind continue to remind us of the man that started it all. Thank you Cecil and Craig and the entire Yoder family for all you do to support our Club! Thank you Rosie for sharing your light with us and the community!

Thank you to this faithful group of Crystal Valley Exchange Club Members and friends for their continued support! We have great appreciation for you and your faithful help at the Taco Stand. The Elkhart County 4-H Fair wraps up tomorrow, wo make sure to stop by for one of our delicious food options! Taco salads, tacos hard or soft, quesadillas, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and are you hungry yet???

We so appreciate the Village Inn Restaurant in Middlebury for making our delicious red salad dressing! They are reliable year after year for accommodating us and our needs. Thank you Village Inn!

Well folks, just two more days to eat your hearts out at the Crystal Valley Exchange Club Taco Stand for the 2026 Elkhart County 4-H Fair ! Thank you to Club Member Neil Stewart and Family of Miller-Stewart Funeral home in Middlebury for faithfully working an entire shift year after year. If you patronized the Taco Stand tonight (THANK YOU!) you were in great hands with this pro crew. Thank you all for taking care of business on Shift 3 on Thursday evening.
