Once a year CVOEO comes together to acknowledge the work, support each other, get to know one another (there are a lot of us!). Members of the CVOEO board join us. We play corn hole, bingo, take a quiet walk, enjoy some needed laughter, lean on each other a bit and then prepare to get back to doing the work. The day is a powerful reminder to each of us that we are not alone. For each other - and for all who support the vision of becoming a more just and inclusive society - we are grateful.

Thanks to our presenters at Wednesday evening's Fair Housing event - "Housing in Addison County: Providing it. Managing it. Maintaining it." Alex, Laura, Kahlia, Ben, Guthrie, Tori and Angela did a great job. And special thanks to the landlords, housing providers and property managers who attended and brought their questions and concerns. We also heard from Supportive Services for Veteran Families and HomeFirstVT. (And, thanks to .vt, we were all very well fed!) How can we keep the conversations going?

CVOEO headed to the Whiting General Store to remove an old flyer for taxes and put up our flyer for the April 22 gathering for landlords. While there I purchased a RB Sandwich, chocolate chip cookie and coffee - meant to take a picture of the food thinking it looked as delicious as it probably tasted; but started to eat it and totally forgot about the picture! However, I did remember to post the flyer. Whiting landlords - RSVP on the flyer and join us - "Housing in Addison County: Providing it. Managing it. Maintaining it."

"Gimme those tires!" That's Maddy, Addison Community Action's Home Energy Assistant, working the scene at this year's Wheels for Warmth tire drop-off in Williston. She took a minute to have a picture taken with Paul, E.D. Meanwhile, Laura and Zoraida were working the Halloween crowd in Middlebury giving out candy on the Green.
