iverse Equipment and Tools: Their was many that said we have a limited resources when it comes to equipment. We are happy to share the wide range of tools and equipment to cater to various interests and projects. We have 3D printers, fine art materials, electronics kits, woodworking tools, and more. World Class Examples and Mentors: We have knowledgeable mentors who can guide students through projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide inspiration and expertise across different STEAM disciplines. We also will encourage anyone that has strength in other creative or innovative academic or vocational skills. Access to Advanced Software and Technology: We have access to cutting-edge software and technology platforms relevant to STEAM fields. This includes different 3D software, programming environments, simulation tools, and more. Collaborative Spaces: Though we are building a space, we have collaborative spaces where learners can work together on projects, share ideas, and learn from each other's perspectives. This includes flexible seating arrangements, dirty & clean workspaces and areas for group discussions. Project-Based Learning Opportunities: We emphasize hands-on, project-based learning experiences. Encourage the integration of real-world challenges and interdisciplinary projects that allow learners to apply STEAM concepts in practical contexts. Opportunities for Creativity and Expression: We highlight the role of art and creativity within STEAM education. We encourage the incorporation of artistic elements into projects and activities, allowing learners to explore the intersection between science, technology, engineering, math, and art., through drawing/painting or playing music or dancing and even theatrical expression. Inclusive Environment: We emphasize the importance of creating an inclusive environment that welcomes learners from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. We offering beginner-friendly workshops, promoting diversity in project topics, and fostering a culture of respect and collaboration. Community Engagement and Partnerships: We have been networking in hopes to from partnerships with local industries, universities, and organizations to provide learners with opportunities for internships, mentorship programs, guest lectures, and access to specialized resources. Flexible Learning Spaces: Our spaces are flexible and can be easily reconfigured to accommodate different types of activities and projects. Evaluation and Feedback Mechanisms: Hands On STEAM has mechanisms in place to evaluate the effectiveness of the makerspace or STEAM program and we will gather feedback from learners, guides, parents, and others involved. This feedback can be used to continuously improve and refine the offerings. It is our hope that this space becomes a hub of fun & creative learning and growth for all who visit. For now we will be sharing spaces in our home (in Middleburg) until we build for growth.
