Tune in and watch our “Understanding VFW Auxiliary Traditions” video! This video is a guide to help new members learn about our Ritual and the unique things we do at meetings. In this video, you’ll learn about:
• Entering a meeting.
• What the raps of the gavel mean.
• What Parade Rest is.
• How to show proper respect to the Flag, Altar and Bible.
• The proper way to address the President and make a motion.

We hope this guide helps you become more familiar with how our meetings are conducted; this will come naturally as you learn our traditions. As always, if you have further questions about meeting etiquette and protocol, be sure to ask a fellow member who has had years, or even decades, of experience with the Auxiliary.

Our Auxiliary Chaplain, Carla Willis, is recovering from a bad case of pneumonia. She could really use our help!

Dear Auxiliary,
Yes, we are interested in a food chain. We can't eat spicy food. Please, no onions, peppers, tomatoes (Mike) or spices other than the basic ones.
These are some of the foods that we like:
Pot roast
Spaghetti
Salads (side, chef)
no dressing on anything at all
Salisbury steak
Mashed potatoes with gravy
Sweet potatoes
Green beans
Rice
(Me: spinach, sweet peas)
(Me: soups and stews)
Chicken Alfredo
Macaroni and cheese
Meatloaf
Subs: Both of us {BLT, Philly cheese steak, hamburger, cheeseburger} Mike (ham and cheese), me turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, meatball}
