The afternoon sun is pure gold this time of year. The late flowers still offer color and the grass still pushes up after the rain.

But that sun is in more of a hurry to go down these days and tarries longer in its rising.

The thinner air carries the twilight echoes of barking dogs instead of cicadas, and there’s a breeze subtly starting to build. It won’t be long… all the color and warmth will be a fond memory.

Lord, help me remember to see the beauty in every season, even the ones that bring more trials.

CALLING OUR LOCAL HUNT COUNTRY COMMUNITY!

Beautiful Flowers for a Beautiful Cause!

Mother Nature had other plans this weekend, and sadly, the Land Trust of Virginia's much-anticipated *Sunset in the Field* fundraiser was canceled due to inclement weather.
