Many thanks from the Middleburg Sustainability Committee and Town of Middleburg Town Council to everyone who ventured out on the coldest morning of the fall season so far to clean up the streets of historic Middleburg!

Gratitude also the Middleburg Police Department for keeping us safe as we picked up litter and to for always providing a hearty breakfast for hungry volunteers!!

Calling all volunteers! The annual fall town cleanup is scheduled for Saturday October 25th, from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. It's always a great community event - all ages welcome!

🏛️ Meet around 7:45AM at the main entrance of the Middleburg Town Hall (it's actually around the back, off Pendleton Street).
🥐 Enjoy coffee and pastries courtesy of our friends at Salamander Middleburg.
👮🏽‍♂️ Safety briefing by Middleburg Police Chief Shaun Jones.
👷‍♀️ Safety vests, grabbers, gloves, buckets and bags distributed.
🏈 Kick off at 8:00AM (ish) for a stroll around our beautiful town, picking up litter.

A fantastic day in Middleburg, starting with the town cleanup, celebrating Arbor Day and finishing up with the police department prescription drug and used batteries take back.

We are just 10 days away from the start of the Middleburg spring cleanup and thrilled to announce that The Salvation Army () will be joining us on site to collect bags of clothing, household goods and electronics from the community. 100% of the donation proceeds go to fund its Adult Rehabilitation center. They provide people struggling with alcohol, life or drug issues with a no cost 6 month rehabilitation program which includes housing, feeding, clothing, work training and counseling for Virginia residents to get their lives back on track. Remarkably, they have a 30% success rate, which is the highest nationwide. It is solely supported by donations and they receive no government funding.

Please repost this if you can to make sure we get as many members of the community to join in and donate.

As a reminder, we start at 8AM on Saturday April 26th, 2025, at the Middleburg Town Hall, 10 W. Marshall Street, Middleburg, VA 20117. We'll bring the safety vests, grabbers, orange trash bags and buckets. You bring the smiles and walking shoes! See you there.

The Middleburg 2025 spring clean is less than a month away, so please mark your calendars and pitch in and help keep Middleburg beautiful!

We will meet as usual at the Town Hall just before 8:00AM on Saturday April 26th, 2025, enjoy some camaraderie and breakfast courtesy of our friends, Salamander Middleburg, and then head out after a safety briefing by Chief Jones to pick up any litter we can find!

The Middleburg spring cleanup is coming soon! Please join us on Saturday April 26th between 8am and 10am at the Middleburg Town Hall for a breakfast start followed by a town walkabout during which we’ll pick up trash and odds and ends to keep our beautiful town s***k and span!

Middleburg is an incorporated town within Loudoun County, Virginia, and engages its own trash and recycling service for residents, however glass is NOT able to be collected for recycling so residents take glass bottles and jars to Mickie Gordon Memorial Park where there’s a special purple dumpster for glass.
