Hosted by J Douglas and AiM

Calling all painters, sketchers, sculptors, scribblers, dabblers, pros, and passionate creatives—Art Tribe is your people.

We meet one Thursday a month to talk art, life, and everything in between. Whether you’re deep in your career or just getting your feet wet, this is your space to:
• Get inspired
• Share ideas
• Connect with fellow creatives who get it
• Bring your work for honest, kind, insightful feedback (or just bring yourself—we love that too)

It’s not a class. It’s not a critique group. It’s a creative hangout for grownups who live and breathe this art life.

Bring something unfinished, overworked, or a piece you’ve hidden in the closet.Let’s talk about why it didn’t work—and how that’s part of the journey.

Come for the art talk. Stay for the tribe.

Thursday, June 46:00 – 8:00 PM
AiM Gallery
102 W. Washington St, Middleburg
$10 (cheaper than therapy and way more colorful)

I am excited to share that is featured in the current edition of The Middleburg Page, published in both the Fauquier Times and The Georgetowner! I’m incredibly grateful that one of my paintings was featured on the page as part of this wonderful article highlighting The Animals in Art: Highlighting the Horse, Fox and Hound exhibit.

So thankful to be part of such a talented and supportive arts community that continues to inspire creativity, education, and connection through the arts. Congratulations to all of the artists involved, and a heartfelt thank you to Artists in Middleburg, Sandy & Laura, and everyone who supports local artists and arts education.

If you’re nearby, the exhibit is on view through June 14 and is absolutely worth seeing.

Many art activities involve fine motor skills, such as holding a paintbrush or manipulating clay. For children with developmental challenges, engaging in these activities can contribute to the development of fine motor skills and coordination.

This benefit, along with others, illustrates the profound impact that artistic activities can have on cognitive functioning and overall brain health for any age. From these findings, one could conclude that as the individual benefits so does the community. At AIM, we strive to bridge the opportunity gap for creative activities for all ages.
