Many of you have discovered my HeadHuggers website and are aware that I embarked on this heartfelt project in March 2007. I was on a quest to find a meaningful way to help others—a calling that tugged at my heart. In my search, I recalled the joy I had experienced learning to crochet from my mother years ago. Inspired to reconnect with that skill, I dusted off my crochet hooks and began creating c
olorful beanies for my children. Their delight was infectious, and before long, all their friends were clamoring for their own unique hats. It felt as though I was on a mission to keep every child in our local Middleburg community warm, especially during those chilly Florida winters. Since that heartwarming beginning, I have lovingly crafted and distributed over 25,000 items, including beanies, afghans, lapghans, ponchos, cat toys, cozy beds for dogs and cats, pet clothing, and so much more. Each piece is made with care and the intention of spreading warmth and happiness. This endeavor is entirely fueled by the generosity of people like you. We wholeheartedly accept donations of cash and yarn to help continue this mission of compassion and creativity. Your support makes a significant difference in the lives of many.
