“A Spiritual Wash Up!”
Exposing Spiritual Abuse & Frauds!
Let me start by saying first and foremost that ABUSE is ABUSE… whether it’s Physical, Emotional or Spiritual… it’s ABUSE and it has no place in anyone’s life… marriage or family.
I want to encourage you that while this Post/Video deals with Topic of Spiritual Abuse… the same truths apply to any area of abuse that you or someone you know may have been subjected to.
Spiritual abuse wounds the “part of a person” that is capable of having a relationship with God and instead makes it painful and difficult for them to have one.
Characteristics of Spiritually abusive systems and leaders… of church or ministries… will often be very legalistic… they will not permit any questioning of authority and will always demand loyalty.
These systems and leaders will shame members who dare to step out of line… they will misuse Scripture… and will be secretive, paranoid… controlling and isolating.
Spiritually abusive systems will take strong stands on little issues like the “evils” of music and tv… or even wine…
Yet all the while ignoring or brushing over matters of real consequence… like grooming, adultery and manipulation when it involves the leadership.
Let me give you a few familiar examples of what I’m talking about…
Spiritual abuse is often a product of those who seek out or “give” themselves titles of Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher or Evangelist.
They believe that they have reached the pinnacle of Spiritual authority… and they’re beyond reproach.
They require total submission and obedience from those who follow them… and they expect their “spiritual” teachings and directions to followed as if it came from the Lord directly!
They believe that leaving a church without the blessings or release from the Leadership… puts you in rebellion and under the influence of a Jezebel spirit…
And once you’ve left these cult styled ministries… they will have you shunned and avoided by the rest of the followers.
Here’s a real dangerous deception of Spiritual Abuse…
While the True Gospel may actually be preached at times and be edifying to the listener…
The man made spiritual rules that are lived out within the church or ministry… chokes out any truth the follower may have learned.
All of this leads to living out a walk with God in a manipulating and controlling system.
These Spirituality Abusive Systems and Teachings always declare that the anointing on a ministers life… always outweighs the sin that a minister may commit.
They teach that God has given them a calling… and they are not to be “touched” with words… that call them to accountability.
So in other words... if a Minister is a powerful preacher or has had miraculous experiences happen in their church or meetings...
And the the same minister… then sleeps with people in the ministry or abuses drugs, power and money…
You will be warned that you better not discuss it… or bring any correction or accusations against them… because God will punish you!
Lets go a little deeper beyond these Five Fold Ministry Fakes and Frauds… let’s look at some Doctrines and Teachings…
There’s the Word of Faith and Prosperity Theology that declares total Healing, Wealth, Favor and All Authority.
They teach that a persons ability to be healed and blessed and prosperous is based their ability to walk in supernatural faith…
They teach all things are manifested by Declaring and Decreeing and speaking into existence… all they want to receive in life…
They frown on teachings that speak of resting and trusting in the sovereign Grace of God!
Then there’s the Deliverance Ministry Theology where there is the Casting out of Demons and “spirits” with all kinds of names.
They teach that Spirit filled Christians can have demons in their flesh or soul… and that they need to have them cast out… regularly!
They teach you must first be saved, then water baptized and then have the demons cast out of you to be truly free.
And let’s not leave out the distortion of Prophetic words and Revelations!
This has caused more people to make poor choices and bad decisions for their lives… because they’ve based it on a supposed Prophets claim to have a direct connection to God…
These false prophets are often nothing more than social media wannabes who deceive people into believing that what they’ve stated… has come straight from the throne room of heaven!
I can go on and on… but I think you get the picture.
This my friends is Spiritual Abuse… it’s not Godly… It’s Demonic and in the end… it always leads to SHAME!
But there’s always Hope and Healing from this…
