Today would have been Nolan’s 17th birthday.

Some roots are planted for a lifetime, and some leave us far too soon. But the impact they make continues to grow long after they’re gone.

Nolan’s kindness, strength, and spirit touched this community in ways that are still felt today. Though he lost his battle with brain cancer at just 15 years old, the roots he planted through the love he shared continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew him.

At Branches, we often talk about how even the smallest roots can grow into something powerful. Nolan’s story reminds us that a life isn’t measured by its length, but by the love, hope, and light left behind.

Today, we celebrate Nolan. We remember him. We honor him.

🎓💜 Some kids volunteer because they need hours. Some volunteer because they have to.

And then there are kids like Max.

We’ve watched Max show up again and again, not because he had to, but because he genuinely cares about people. Whether it was packing food, helping families, or jumping in wherever he was needed, he always did it with a smile and a servant’s heart.

Last night,we were honored to present Max Caliendo with our Roots of Service Scholarship. This scholarship is about more than volunteer hours. It’s about compassion, character, and choosing to make the world a little better for someone else.

Max, thank you for growing your roots here with us. We are so proud of the young man you’ve become and can’t wait to see where life takes you next. 💜🌳

Congratulations. You earned every bit of this. ✨

📦 Our shelves are getting very low, but the need never stops.

Watch as I put together a food box for a family of 6 using what we currently have available as of today, June 3rd. Every item on these shelves helps feed local families facing difficult times.

As you can see, we're making it work with what we have—but we could really use your help. Donations of nonperishable food items make a huge difference and help us continue serving our community.
