Good Morning, Michigan City! I've come as promised with the post of photos of children receiving bikes, I know it's been a good while (busy life) since my last. In this post, you'll also spot some of our local community members receiving as well.
Since starting this non-profit last year, my main focus was helping children who were in need of bikes. With the continuing months and the growing of love, I've decided to change that. I feel that in order for a community to thrive together, we need to help each other in order for that thrive to grow. "Sharing is caring". I feel that our Senior & Veterans community members are over-looked and not valued as they should be. Not only just those community members, but also our homeless as well. I can personally say, "I've hit rock bottom before in life and been in those shoes and walked on my travels" and I feel support and encouragement surely helps, along with determination to make one "bounce back". Though we are starting to explain on helping those who are in need of bikes. Our main goal will always be to continue to help the children, for they are our future. "Setting the example for a better future'.
The last post of bikes going out was a special number to me, which now has more meaning of being special. Thank you, for you helped with that. Sadly, to which is not sad, but that number has to go and has now changed to.......
341‼️
That's number is the bikes that have been received by children and some local community members since starting last year! I'm beyond THANKFUL, for each post that I get to type out informing everyone of all the wonderful compassion that we have going on in our community! That's surely something to be proud of, I know I am! These donations of bikes are not just from Michigan City. Oh no no, they are from all around us! That's LOVE for thy neighbor right there folks, literally from South Bend, Westville (Blackhawks Volleyball Team), Long Beach, Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton, Laporte (Moms Club), Michiana and Grand Beach. Which the last two are not in Indiana, that's Michigan! We are feeling the love all around us, thank you 🥹😭❤️ .
Now that the season changed to Fall, which totally sad to see our Summer go, we are going to start slowly start closing up for the seasons. That means, that all the bikes that have been donated will be looked over to see if they can be saved. For the ones that are not able, they will be broken down for parts, then eventually scraped to recycle money back in to purchase bikes off of MarketPlace (to help our local/surrounding community members with their sales).
Though we are closing up for the seasons of Fall & Winter, we will be back in the Spring 2027 (that was odd typing a new year, where did the year go). To the ones that are in my messenger, you are not forgotten and I will contact you in the Spring, for we ran into this last year of running of time.
Once more, for I can never ever say it enough, THANK YOU EVERYONE for all your donations, your love and your support. Without you, none of this would have been possible and continue to be.
I would like to also give a special thank you to these wonderful gentlemen for helping with bike repairs and to this wonderful lady who helped deliver bikes, when my vehicle was down.

~If anyone would like to help volunteer time to help on Saturday Afternoons, to start breaking down bikes, you're more than welcome (Weather permitting/no rain). If you need something for school hours for volunteer work (I'll be more than happy to type something up).
