The Lakefront Career Network is a committee of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce designed to provide opportunities for young professionals to develop a personal network, grow professionally and succeed in business while enhancing the community’s quality of life. Membership is open to any person who lives, learns, works or plays in the Michigan City area. LCN serves individuals ages 21-45, but
no one is excluded from participating. Regular attendance at LCN events is the only requirement for membership. Participation in The Lakefront Career Network is free of charge. Some programs and events may have an associated cost to attend; however, participation in these events or programs is voluntary. LCN hosts get-to-know-you happy hours throughout the year, professional development pieces and an annual New Teacher Luncheon. The group also partners with a local non-profit each year, known as a Spotlight Organization, to raise awareness of that organization within the community. LCN provides the Spotlight Organization with a Day of Giving, volunteers, fundraising opportunities and more.
