Sea Scout Ship 101

Sea Scout Ship 101 Sea Scouts is a BSA approved Program for male and female youth aged from 13 (graduated 8th grade) to 21. Learn to sail, row and keep a boat in shape.

Home of Ship 101, A BSA Sea Scout crew. Sailing out of Michigan city, Sea Scouting builds character through high adventure. As a Sea Scout, you can learn to sail, to row, and to keep a boat in shape. You can cruise local waters or go sailing on long cruises far from home. You can learn to dive, and you will be active in camping, social events, tours, regattas, excursions, and seamanship contests.

Who Can Join? To join, you must be 14 years old (or 13 years and completed the eighth grade) but not yet 21. What’s in it for you? You will find lifelong adventure while learning new skills that will benefit you no matter your path.

ATTENTION: All Ship Members. All Future crew meeting will be held on the 2nd and 4th WEDNESDAY of the month. This shift from Thursday is to better accomodate the scedules of our Youth and Leadership. Next crew meeting will be WEDNESAY, June 24th at Camp Topenebee

Work crew of Ship 101 put in an amazing amount of work today at the Topenebee spring clean up. It was all demolition mode treating down the old Chippewa pavilion. A tree fell through the roof. Then we pulled down the old rotten latrine surround.

We extend our sincere appreciation to outgoing Boatswain Drew Gschwind for his exemplary leadership during his tenure. Due to his academic commitments, a new Boatswain was elected. Please join me in congratulating our newly elected Boatswain, Elijah Yoder! We wish Drew the best of luck in his future academic pursuits and Elijah success in leading us on this new adventure.
