Hello Everyone,
At Tannehill Community Soup Kitchen, our mission is simple: to ensure no one in our community goes hungry. We believe everyone deserves a hot, nutritious meal and to be treated with dignity and respect. We can serve many of our neighbors in need every week due to the devotion of volunteers like you.
Right now, we have an urgent need for helping hands in our kitchen. Your time can make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. No special skills are required, just a positive attitude and a willingness to help! Even a few hours of your time can bring a smile to someone’s face and provide essential support.

We are located currently at the First Presbyterian Church: 121 W. 9th Street, Michigan City, IN. We are scheduled to be located at the First United Methodist Church In a few weeks (I will update when this move happens): 121 E. 7th Street Michigan City, IN.
Our schedule is:
Sunday: 9:00am-1:00pm
Monday: 9:00-am-1:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00-1:00pm
Thursday: 9:00-1:00pm

Hello everyone,
Recently we have seen a great need in our community that Tannehill Community Soup Kitchen is wanting to help with. The nonprofit has been in the Michigan City area for quite some time and has been able to supply many families with nutritious food. By helping Tannehill Community Soup Kitchen, you would be able to provide warm meals and a beacon of hope to a neighbor in need today. With the SNAP benefits being cut short or nonexistent, many in our community need to make some hard choices for themselves and their families. Imagine facing the choice between paying bills and putting food on the table for your children. For many families in our community, this is a daily reality. With your generous donation we could feed many families in need because the demand in our community is growing. Our nonprofit would appreciate your support to ensure no one in our community goes hungry. With your help, we can continue to offer food, dignity and hope to those in need.

We would like to thank Operation Feed LaPorte County for choosing us as a recipient. We are extremely grateful to receive such a large donation of meat and produce. A shout out to their many donors and volunteers who made this possible

We have been really short on volunteers recently. We prepare and serve meals Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Volunteers are needed from approximately 9am-1pm. We're located at 121 W 9th St in Michigan City. Parking is in the back by where the Farmer's Market is held. Enter through the door to the lower level. Thank you in advance for your time- our mission wouldn't be possible without volunteer support.
