Jackson Baptist Church is hosting their 2nd Annual Community Picnic on September 12th from 11 AM–4 PM at 540 S. Dettman Rd. in Jackson.
The event will include a bake sale, with all proceeds benefiting Under the Sycamore Ministry, along with food, games, prizes, face painting, a bounce house, and more.
We are also excited to announce that Allskate has generously donated passes for the event! Anyone who attends wearing an Under the Sycamore Kids Camp shirt or a Jackson Baptist Church shirt will receive an Allskate pass.
Thank you to Jackson Baptist Church for supporting Under the Sycamore and to Allskate for helping make this event even more special. We hope to see you there!

Temporary Ministry Closure — September 3rd–7th

Our family will be taking a few days away from ministry as we travel to the Upper Peninsula to lay my 17-year-old brother to rest.

Because of this, we will be completely closed September 3rd through September 7th. During this time, we will not be scheduling or holding appointments for the East Jackson Community Food Pantry, providing community assistance, or offering any other ministry services.

We know there are needs in our community, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding and, most importantly, your prayers for our family as we walk through this difficult time.

We will resume normal services after September 7th.

Thank you for giving our family the time and space we need during this loss.

School Supply Drive 🎒 All Month of August!

We are collecting new school supplies for students of all ages. From Kindergarten through College, throughout the month of August!

Back-to-school sales are happening now, making it the perfect time to grab a few extra supplies. We welcome all types of school supplies to help students throughout the school year.

Have leftover supplies from a community Back-to-School Bash or school supply giveaway? We'd be happy to put them to good use! Your donations will help us continue providing supplies to students even after the back-to-school season has ended.

Thank You, Jackson Community!

We have always been a ministry built completely on faith. Over the last few months, that faith was put to the test. I had many people tell me we should shut the food pantry down for the summer, but I couldn't do that. My answer was simple: “If I have food, I'm going to give it out"... And God provided.

Through the generosity of our community, we were able to continue helping every family who came to us without turning anyone away. Today, we received a new food truck order! We are so thankful!

A huge THANK YOU to our school board members, our truck driver, the East Jackson maintenance team, South Michigan Food Bank, and everyone who has donated, volunteered, prayed, and supported this ministry. We couldn't do what we do without you!
