What a full weekend we had serving the Lord!

Saturday the youth came to the barn and served the community for our monthly event. Where people from all over the community gather to eat, dance & listen to the band.

The youth work closely along side with a mentor throughout the evening. Learning to engage with others as they serve them in different ways.

Sunday night we ate together, worshiped & listened to Kara give her testimony. Kara grew up as a missionary kid in Peru and recently resides in Juneau, Alaska. She has been called to doing media in missions.

Kara shared great wisdom we can all relate to. “He wants me to be faithful with what I have today. If that means getting up, drinking coffee and shoveling snow, then that’s what I’m going to be faithful with”

Kara left us with something to think about,
“What is the Lord’s will for my life? The answer is “YES”

Ephesians 2:8 says
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”

Words of truth spoken from Evelyn P. On Sunday night she shared what the Lord stirred up in her heart. There was a point in her life that she became numb in her faith. She no longer wanted to trust God to give her back the love and comfort that she wanted to receive from people. Evelyn realized that even if you loved others they may not always love you back. Jesus loved everyone with a perfect and holy love but yet He was persecuted and crucified. He died with a forgiving and loving mindset. If we want to love like Jesus, we should realize that the persecutions from worldly people should make us confident in Christ. If someone says “you’re too much of a Jesus freak” THATS A GOOD THING. -thank you Evelyn P. for speaking truth and light into our lives Sunday night. “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”
