“I titled this event The Voice Inside Changed My Life in reflection of how our
speakers used their inner voice to transform their lives when the world expected them to stay stagnant—and because over the past few months, my own voice inside has changed and, in many ways, helped save my life during one of the most challenging seasons I’ve ever faced. That experience deepened my belief in the
power of the inner voice God gives us to survive, grow, and succeed even when life
feels uncertain. All of our stories are reflected in the spirit behind The Voice Inside. We are so excited to share this special free gift of an event with the community, thanks to South Florida PBS and Actors’ Playhouse. Returning to Actors’ Playhouse is especially meaningful to me because it is where I first fell in love with theater as a child.”

Thank you to all of our followers for supporting us over the years! We would love for you to make a donation to ATP in honor of Give Miami Day! Every donation will be matched with a gift from the Miami Foundation. Any and every amount helps, as does a share! You can make a donation here: https://www.givemiamiday.org/organization/Autism-Theater-Project

Your donations will help support the following immediate funding needs:

Fund event production and compensation for our performers with disabilities at upcoming events already booked for early 2026, including the South Beach Jazz Festival, and community events at Temple Beth Am and Actors’ Playhouse.

Create jobs for motivational speakers within our organization and partner nonprofits to share their stories of living with a disability, building resilience, and achieving success.

Support production of the fourth episode of The Voice Inside, our South Florida PBS TV series inspired by real success stories from young adults, both with and without autism.

Additionally, we are in the process of solidifying plans for six or more events and musical performances in 2026, and preparing an extended version of our play for young audiences, In the Life of a Child, during the 2026–2027 season.

Thank you again for your support! Your donations of all sizes truly make a difference. This quote from parent Fernanda Jorgensen, Philanthropy Miami's Executive Director, truly illustrates the impact of our work:

"The Voice Inside reminded me of something so important: [my son’s] potential. The series’ powerful message of 'achieve anyway' filled me with hope and reinforced my belief in his ability to overcome obstacles and thrive in his own way."

My non verbal son with Autism who due to a malpractice at 18 months old, was left with no sound, no voice, just mimicking, with autistic like behavior, self agressive, self stimulating, unable to sleep and a mother who did not speak English to advocate for him, who didn’t give up but look for constant prayers trusting God and His promises, going back to college, then looking for music therapy, art therapy, Auditory Integration Therapy and anything that could exist 38 years ago to help her son. Adopting more than 24 families who didn’t speak English to advocate for them and lead them to resources.Today he is a college graduate whose art has been exhibited in museums and art galleries, singing at his university choir and church praise team, to demonstrate that still today God is the God of the Impossible. This is at Radio TV sin fronteras to announce our event of November 17, 2024.
