Our impact goes beyond the classroom.

Meet Brandon, a first-year student who started with no experience. He asked for extra practice time and materials to take home every day. Now, he’s one of our lead snare drummers and the recipient of AMI’s first Most Improved Award.

Then there’s Ace, a second-year student who learned snare drum, bass drum, and xylophone through AMI. Now in middle school, he’s learning alto saxophone.

Thanks to a donor, we were able to give Ace a rarely used $2,000 alto sax so he has an instrument to practice at home.

This is what access looks like. One student, one instrument, one opportunity at a time.

20 days. From picking up their instruments to taking the stage.

Our AMI students showed what focused instruction, practice, and opportunity produce in only 20 days. We are proud of every student who performed and every family who came out to support them.

Our students named this one “Big Bang.”

Originally known as “Slow One” by the Florida A&M University Marching 100, this performance became a standout moment from our Spring Concert.

Thank you to and the world-renowned for continuing to inspire the next generation of musicians.
