Albert C. Pierre Community Service Center is a 501c3 organization which provides community base programs.

The Pure Reality www.purereality.org and HOPE Summer Camp are programs geared to helping kids, teens and youths stay focus on their goals. An amazing non-profit organization whose mission is threefold:
1. To provide monthly groceries and weekly fresh fruits and vegetables to about 200 families in the underserved communities of Little Haiti and Little River in Miami Dade County.
2. To improve th

e community at large through educational programs like financial savvy and money management, healthful living, mentoring and tutoring, addiction Support, diabetes education, health fairs, free inoculation, and various support groups for couples, seniors, parents, youth, and a summer and winter camp program with academic support for about 150 children of the community.
3. Pure Reality is a program that teaches children, youth, young adults, couples, and senior citizens about self worth, life skills, establishing and achieving goals, the real cost of promiscuity, the truth about STDs, the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and the rewards of a high moral standard of living. Young people are trained to educate their peers through seminars, workshops, drama skits, panel discussions, small group activities, ect. ACP is supported by the benevolence of everyone who believes that we are responsible for our less fortunate brothers, and we have to do our part to improve the lives of the people around us.

Yesterday, we gather to celebrate the life of an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God—Joan James who is affectionately know as Joan. She lived a life marked by love, compassion, and service. Her devotion to her children was evident in the way she spoke of them often, always with pride and joy.

Joan’s life was a testament to service. Whether as a nurse, Sabbath School Superintendent, Pathfinder leader, Deaconess, Health and Temperance leader or in countless other roles, she poured her heart into everything she did, touching lives with care and compassion.

When asked how she should be remembered, her family beautifully chose to honor her through donations to Pure Reality, the last program she faithfully served. Pure Reality embodies Joan’s values—shaping teens and young people to live a life of purpose, service, and devotion to God. Your donation will not only honor her legacy but also continue her mission by reminding teens and youth that they are "Set Apart by Divine Design".

On a personal note, Joan was more than a friend—she was family to us, the Jairam's, the Johnson's and the Mierez. She cared for my daughter as a nurse, at times blessed us with her delicious cooking, and of course, her unforgettable vegetarian mojito.

Today, Dr. McCalla and I were truly blessed to partner with Rhonda Eyes Alliance in serving the Miramar community at the Senior Resource Fair and Food Distribution. Connecting with Vice Mayor and the residents reminded us why ACP’s mission matters so deeply—because the need is real, and our service makes a difference. Let’s stay united in purpose, because at ACP we know that “Actions Change People’s Lives!”
