WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN!

Last night marked the final session of our Parenting Class at Transition, and what an amazing journey it has been!

Every Wednesday, we had the opportunity to learn, grow, and have meaningful conversations with Dr. Kay Williams-Dawson and CMB Visions Unlimited. Week after week, our parents and future parents showed up ready to learn and strengthen the skills needed to build healthier and stronger families.

The classes may have ended, but the lessons will continue far beyond the classroom. From communication and patience to understanding, accountability, and creating healthy relationships with our children, our parents and future parents are walking away with tools they can carry with them for years to come.

A very special THANK YOU to Dr. Kay Williams-Dawson and Anna and Andrea from CMB Visions Unlimited for pouring into our participants each week and making this journey so meaningful.

And congratulations to everyone who participated! Take what you learned, put it into practice, and continue growing because strong families help build strong communities.

Saturday was all about bringing resources directly to the community!

Our Project Umbrella One-Stop Reentry Services event in Opa-locka brought community partners together under one umbrella to provide services, resources, information, and opportunities to those who need them most.

A HUGE thank you to all of our community partners who showed up and helped make this event possible. Your partnership and commitment to serving our community are what make Project Umbrella work!

A special thank you to Vice Mayor Joseph L. Kelley and the City of Opa-locka for your support, partnership, and for welcoming Project Umbrella into the community. We truly appreciate you helping us bring these valuable resources directly to Opa-locka residents.

And we’re not stopping here… Project Umbrella will be back in November! Stay tuned!
