The mission of AFSCME Local 1907 is to provide the City of Miami employees with a safe working environment and fair employment practices, while promoting positive labor management relations and a fair contract that provides good benefits. We are a proud part of American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees union, a 1.6 million members united to advocate for fairness in the workplace, excellence in public services and prosperity and opportunity for all working families.

It’s Public Service Recognition Week – a time that we reflect on the essential work that AFSCME members do. Whether responding to emergencies, taking our kids to school, keeping our streets and drinking water clean or caring for the sick, public service workers are the backbone of our communities. They deserve respect and dignity for all they do. This week, we extend our deepest gratitude to all those who dedicate their lives and careers to helping others, and we commit to always continuing to fight for the strong public services our communities deserve.
